Role Overview:
As the Head of IT based in Kanpur, you will serve as the primary architect of the companys digital and technological landscape. This role involves bridging the gap between legacy manufacturing processes and modern digital solutions, ensuring that IT infrastructure supports high-volume production demands. You will work closely with the executive leadership team and plant managers to align technology roadmaps with business objectives, ultimately driving operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the long-term growth and scalability of manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, ensuring that deployments are completed within budget and meet stringent production timelines.
- Manage the integration of manufacturing execution systems with enterprise-level software to streamline data flow and reporting.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement robust cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans to protect critical industrial assets.
- Evaluate and procure emerging technologies that enhance automation, predictive maintenance, and supply chain visibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications and system upgrades.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in IT Project Management and IT Strategy, specifically within the manufacturing or industrial domain.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale Manufacturing Project Management initiatives, including ERP implementations and shop-floor automation.
- Strong leadership capabilities to mentor technical teams and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence executive-level decision-making.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by 8 - 13 years of relevant experience.
- High adaptability to an on-site work environment in Kanpur, with a focus on hands-on problem solving and direct engagement with plant operations.
