About the Role:

We are hiring for a leadership position of Head - Information Technology for a reputed multispecialty hospital in Kolkata. The role requires an accomplished technology leader to drive the hospital's IT strategy, digital transformation, and 24x7 operational excellence across all technology platforms.

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in aligning IT initiatives with business and clinical objectives, strengthening cybersecurity, and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership & Governance: Define and implement the IT vision, roadmap, and governance framework aligned with organizational goals.

- Lead digital transformation initiatives focused on automation, paperless processes, and smart healthcare systems.

- Establish and monitor IT policies, SOPs, and compliance with regulatory and data protection standards.

- Present IT performance dashboards and insights to management for informed decision-making.

Hospital Information Systems & Applications:

- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and integration of core systems such as HIS, EMR, LIS, PACS, and Pharmacy Management.

- Partner with clinical, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless workflows and data integrity.

- Drive interoperability across HIS, ERP, CRM, and HRMS systems.

- Evaluate and introduce technology solutions to improve care quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity:

- Ensure uninterrupted uptime of IT infrastructure, including data centers, servers, networks, cloud, and communication systems.

- Oversee vendor relationships, SLA management, and AMC renewals.

- Lead cybersecurity strategy-managing firewalls, endpoint protection, and risk audits in line with NABH/HIPAA standards.

- Implement business continuity and disaster recovery mechanisms.

Digital Transformation & Innovation:

- Champion next-gen digital solutions-AI/ML, IoT, telemedicine, mobile apps, and remote monitoring.

- Enable data-driven decision-making through analytics and automation.

- Drive patient-centric initiatives including CRM, online appointments, and digital engagement platforms.

Operations, Analytics & Budgeting:

- Lead IT service management, helpdesk support, and IT asset lifecycle.

- Build and maintain BI dashboards, MIS, and analytics frameworks for key business and operational insights.

- Manage annual IT budgets, cost optimization, and technology procurement in line with organizational priorities.

- Experience: 12-18 years of IT experience with minimum 5-7 years in a leadership role within hospitals, healthcare chains, or large enterprise setups.

- Expertise: Strong knowledge of HIS/EMR systems, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
