SUMMARY:

Seeking a Regional Head of Investment Technology to lead the Mumbai Investment Technology team supporting the firms Real Estate and Credit investment technology platforms.

This role will co-report into the Principal, Global Head of Credit Technology and the Principal, Global Head of Real Estate Technology.

This individual will serve as the regional technology leader for investment technology delivery across Real Estate and Credit, responsible for engineering execution, platform delivery, architecture alignment, operating model maturity, talent development, and day-to-day technology leadership across the Mumbai team.

The role requires a senior, hands-on technology leader who can operate across investment domains, partner effectively with global Investment Technology leadership, and translate complex investment, portfolio, asset management, data, reporting, and operational workflows into scalable technology solutions.

The successful candidate will bring deep experience leading enterprise software engineering teams within financial services, investment management, alternative asset management, or related technology environments.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical judgment, modern engineering practices, architecture depth, delivery discipline, and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.

This individual will partner closely with Credit Technology, Real Estate Technology, Product Management, Data & AI, investment professionals, portfolio and asset management teams, investment operations, finance, risk, and broader Technology stakeholders to deliver resilient, secure, scalable, and business-aligned technology capabilities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regional Investment Technology Leadership:

- Serve as the regional head for Investment Technology in Mumbai, supporting Real Estate and Credit technology delivery, engineering execution, and team development.

- Partner with the Investment Technology leadership to execute the global Investment Technology operating model, delivery priorities, and engineering agenda.

Engineering Delivery & Execution:

- Own regional engineering delivery across Real Estate and Credit technology initiatives.

- Drive execution of software delivery plans across front-end, backend, integration, data, reporting, and platform capabilities.

- Ensure teams deliver scalable technology solutions supporting deal sourcing, underwriting, acquisitions, portfolio and asset management, credit investment workflows, risk monitoring, operations, reporting, and analytics.

- Establish clear delivery plans, execution rhythms, release discipline, and accountability for business outcomes.

- Drive improvements in software quality, delivery velocity, production stability, and operational resilience.

Architecture, Platform Modernization & Technical Standards:

- Provide senior technical leadership across application architecture, system design, integration architecture, and modern engineering practices.

- Partner with global architecture, engineering, cloud, infrastructure, security, and Data & AI teams to align solutions with enterprise technology standards.

- Drive adoption of modern cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, observability, and automated delivery practices.

Credit & Real Estate Platform Partnership:

- Partner with Credit Technology and Real Estate Technology leaders to deliver capabilities across the full investment lifecycle.

- Support platforms and workflows across credit deal origination, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk management, investment reporting, real estate acquisitions, asset management, property operations, portfolio management, and analytics.

- Help translate complex Credit and Real Estate investment requirements into practical technology roadmaps, delivery plans, and engineering solutions.

- Ensure regional teams understand domain context, business priorities, data dependencies, and operating model expectations across Credit and Real Estate.

Data, Integration & Analytics Enablement:

- Support delivery of APIs, data services, ingestion frameworks, reporting capabilities, and analytics-enabling platforms across Real Estate and Credit.

- Partner with Data & AI teams to improve data quality, data availability, integration patterns, and analytics enablement.

Software Development Lifecycle & Governance:

- Own regional adoption and execution of software development lifecycle standards across Investment Technology delivery teams.

- Establish and reinforce CI/CD, automated testing, release management, documentation, observability, and production support practices.

People Leadership & Talent Development:

- Recruit, develop, manage, and retain engineering talent across multiple levels of seniority.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

- BS in Computer Science or related field is required. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience Required:

- 12-15 years of progressive software engineering, investment technology, or enterprise technology leadership experience.

- 5+ years leading software engineering teams, technology delivery organizations, or major platform delivery initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience leading regional or multi-team technology organizations within financial services, investment management, alternative asset management, banking, capital markets, or related enterprise technology environments.

- Experience supporting investment technology platforms across Credit, Real Estate, portfolio management, asset management, investment operations, reporting, analytics, data, or related domains strongly preferred.

- Proven track record building and operating business-critical applications, platforms, integrations, and data services within regulated or operationally complex environments.

- Experience partnering directly with senior technology leaders, product management, investment professionals, portfolio and asset management teams, operations, finance, risk, and cross-functional business stakeholders.

- Experience leading platform modernization, cloud adoption, engineering transformation, organizational change, delivery model improvements, or regional technology capability buildout.

- Experience recruiting, developing, managing, and retaining engineering talent across multiple levels of seniority.

- Experience operating across global teams, locations, time zones, and stakeholder groups preferred.

General Requirements:

Technical Skills:

- Deep understanding of modern full-stack engineering, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, integration architecture, and event-driven design patterns.

- Strong technical judgment across Java-based backend platforms, React or modern front-end frameworks, relational and non-relational databases, cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, messaging, streaming, and data platform integrations.

- Strong understanding of enterprise SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, observability, release management, and production support practices.

- Ability to guide architecture and technology decisions across multiple teams without being the day-to-day hands-on developer for every initiative.

- Knowledge of investment data models, reporting platforms, analytics workflows, data integration patterns, and enterprise data governance principles preferred.

Engineering Leadership & Operating Model:

- Ability to build and scale a regional technology organization aligned to global priorities and local execution needs.

- Strong ability to manage delivery execution, engineering quality, resource planning, team capacity, risk, dependencies, and cross-team coordination.

- Experience establishing engineering standards, delivery governance, technical review forums, and operational support expectations.

- Ability to develop engineering managers, technical leads, senior engineers, analysts, and high-potential talent.

- Strong decision-making capability balancing business needs, technical quality, delivery speed, risk, cost, and operational resilience.

Domain & Functional Knowledge:

- Strong interest in and ability to learn investment workflows across Credit and Real Estate.

- Familiarity with credit platforms, deal management, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, risk workflows, real estate acquisitions, asset management, property operations, portfolio management, and investment reporting is strongly preferred.

- Familiarity with platforms such as DealCloud, Allvue, WSO, Argus, Yardi, RealPage, JD Edwards, investment data platforms, reporting platforms, or comparable systems is a plus.
