Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the role of Head of Investment Banking to lead and scale the investment banking business across advisory, capital raising, M&A, structured finance, and strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, and client relationship management, with a proven track record in revenue generation and team leadership.


The candidate should possess deep industry knowledge across BFSI, Wealth Management, and Fintech sectors, with the ability to drive strategic growth, build strong client relationships, and lead high-value transactions end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the overall Investment Banking business strategy, growth, and execution across key market segments.

- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and business expansion in line with organizational objectives.

- Originate and execute high-value deals across M&A, capital raising, debt syndication, structured finance, and strategic advisory.

- Build and manage strong relationships with corporates, financial institutions, promoters, investors, private equity firms, and strategic partners.

- Identify new business opportunities across BFSI, Wealth, and Fintech sectors.

- Lead client pitches, financial proposals, deal structuring, and negotiation discussions.

- Provide strategic advisory to clients on fundraising, mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and market opportunities.

- Oversee end-to-end transaction lifecycle including due diligence, valuation, documentation, execution, and closure.

- Monitor market trends, industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.

- Develop and strengthen investor networks including institutional investors, family offices, and PE/VC funds.

- Ensure high-quality financial modeling, valuation analysis, investment thesis development, and transaction documentation.

- Drive cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, finance, and risk teams.

- Lead, mentor, and build high-performing investment banking teams.

- Ensure regulatory compliance, governance, and risk management across all transactions.

- Represent the organization in industry forums, investor meetings, and strategic discussions.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) :

- Drive investment banking revenue and profitability targets.

- Increase deal origination and successful transaction closures.

- Expand client portfolio across BFSI, Wealth, and Fintech sectors.

- Strengthen strategic partnerships and investor relationships.

- Improve deal pipeline quality and transaction conversion rates.

- Ensure timely execution of transactions with high quality delivery.

- Enhance client satisfaction and long-term business retention.

- Build strong market positioning in investment banking and advisory services.

- Develop and retain high-performing teams.

- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk governance in all transactions.

Required Skill Sets :

- Strong expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, and transaction advisory.

- Proven experience in M&A, fundraising, capital markets, and structured finance.

- Strong understanding of BFSI, Wealth Management, and Fintech ecosystems.

- Deep knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.

- Strong deal origination and client acquisition capabilities.

- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong business development and revenue management expertise.

- Experience in managing P&L and achieving business growth targets.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks within financial services.

Preferred Qualifications :

- MBA / PGDM in Finance, CFA, CA, or equivalent preferred.

- Experience in leading large investment banking teams or business verticals.

- Strong network across corporates, investors, private equity, and financial institutions.

- Immediate joiners preferred.
