Job Description:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end inventory planning, forecasting, and control across all categories and cities.
- Develop demand forecasting models to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing wastage and stock-outs.
- Drive inventory strategy in alignment with business growth plans, category expansion, and city-level rollouts.
- Work closely with Category, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Monitor inventory health metrics including inventory turnover, fill rates, shrinkage, and ageing stock, and drive corrective actions.
- Build and implement robust inventory planning systems, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Partner directly with senior leadership to define long-term inventory and supply chain strategy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Identify supply-demand risks proactively and design mitigation strategies.
- Leverage data and analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 12 to 15 years of experience in Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, or Category Operations.
- Strong expertise in inventory forecasting, supply planning, replenishment, and inventory control systems.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-category inventory operations within E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Retail, or FMCG organizations.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Category, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Deep understanding of inventory KPIs such as inventory turnover, fill rate, shrinkage, ageing inventory, service levels, and forecast accuracy.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating with senior leadership.
- Excellent planning, execution, communication, and problem-solving skills.
