A start up in Agri input sector (Professionals keen in working for a start up need only apply).

Key Responsibilities:

- The role will be responsible for building and scaling the international business in Africa and the Middle East, taking the product from validation/trials through regulatory approval, anchor customers and ultimately large-scale distribution.

- Identify and build relationships with relevant agricultural universities, research institutions and testing organisations in target markets.

- Facilitate product trials and demonstrations to establish the efficacy of products versus control/conventional fertilisers.

- Work with local partners to generate credible data around yield improvement, cost benefits and product effectiveness for specific crops/soil conditions.

- Drive the product through the relevant fertiliser/product registration and regulatory processes in the target country.

- Identify large avocado, coffee, cashew and other plantation/estate operators who can act as anchor customers.

- Establish trials at these estates and convert successful demonstrations into commercial orders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Approximately 10 - 15 years of experience.

- Strong experience in fertiliser, bio-fertiliser, biologicals, agri-inputs, agricultural products or closely adjacent businesses.

- Professionals from both established fertiliser/ agri input/ biological organisations or more entrepreneurial/start-up environments can be considered.

- Africa market exposure is critical.

- The candidate should be comfortable with extensive international travel and hands-on market development.
