Head - Internal Audit - CA

A highly visible and strategic opportunity with a leading global financial services platform, seeking an experienced professional to lead their Internal Audit function in India. This is a Head-level role, based in Mumbai, forming part of the global Internal Audit leadership team with extensive interaction with senior stakeholders, board members, and global leadership.

This role offers the opportunity to lead Internal Audit for a large India platform, driving alignment with global audit strategy while providing independent assurance and advisory support across the business.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Leading and executing the Internal Audit strategy for India in alignment with global audit vision and practices.

- Driving audit delivery using data analytics, automation, and modern audit practices.

- Presenting audit findings, insights, and control themes to senior leadership and board forums.

- Partnering with business teams to strengthen the control of the environment and improve risk culture.

- Leading and developing a high-performing Internal Audit team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

- Acting as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections, statutory audits, and external stakeholders.

- Collaborating with global Internal Audit teams to drive consistency, standardization, and best practices.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- 20+ years of experience across Internal Audit, Risk, Governance, and Controls in financial services or global organizations.

- Strong understanding of audit frameworks covering financial and non-financial risks.

- Proven experience operating at senior leadership / board level.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across global environments.

- Professional qualifications such as CA, CIA, or equivalent preferred.
