Overview: We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced professional to lead the Internal Audit function of a leading financial services organization. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in audit processes, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with a strong background in banking audits. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee the Internal Audit function to ensure effective governance, risk management, and internal controls across all business units. - Develop and implement a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan aligned with the organizations strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. - Conduct independent reviews and evaluations of financial, operational, and compliance controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency. - Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board Audit Committee for improving processes and mitigating risks. - Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry standards, and emerging risks to ensure audit practices remain compliant and forward-looking. - Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing internal audit team to deliver excellence and consistency. - Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on audit and compliance matters. Qualifications and Experience: - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory. - Minimum 18 years of total professional experience, with at least 10 years in audit functions. - Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in banking audits is essential.
