The Head of IT is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of technology infrastructure and operations across retail stores, warehouses and offices Pan India. This role ensures seamless store operations by overseeing POS systems, store connectivity, inventory systems, and back-office applications, while driving efficiency and innovation in IT processes to enhance the in-store customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement IT strategies to support and optimize brick-and mortar store operations.


- Develop and maintain all back end applications like ERP, BI tools, Consumer App, WMS, CRM.


- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and performance of in-store technologies including POS systems, inventory management, employee scheduling, and customer service tools.


- Ensure uninterrupted connectivity and system uptime across all store locations.


- Develop and execute hardware and 3rd party software applications procurement strategy for all locations.


- Oversee cybersecurity and data protection, including compliance with regulations


- Lead IT support teams to provide timely technical support and training to store staff.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology meets operational needs.


- Manage IT budgets and vendor contracts for hardware, software, and managed services.


- Plan and implement upgrades, rollouts, and new technology integrations across the store network.


- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for store systems.


- Track retail technology trends (e.g., mobile checkout, self-service kiosks, digital signage) and recommend relevant innovations.


Qualifications:


- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Masters preferred).


- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in brick and-mortar retail.


- Strong knowledge of store operations technology, including POS systems (e.g., LS Retail, Wondersoft), retail ERP, and networking.


- Experience managing IT infrastructure across multi-location retail environments.


- Solid understanding of inventory control systems, customer data management, and workforce scheduling tools.


- Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
