The Head - Industry Relations & Career Services is a pivotal role responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners, facilitating internships and placements for students, and shaping the career trajectory of future design professionals. This role collaborates closely with faculty, students, and industry representatives to ensure that TDV graduates are well-prepared for successful careers in the design industry. The impact of this role is directly reflected in the career success of TDV graduates and the institute's reputation within the design community.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive industry relations strategy to expand TDV's network of industry partners.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing industry partners to secure internships, projects, and placement opportunities for students.
- Organize and conduct career counseling sessions, workshops, and seminars to prepare students for the job market.
- Oversee the entire placement process, including company presentations, student interviews, and offer negotiations, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both students and recruiters.
- Track and analyze placement data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of career services initiatives, and inform future strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate industry insights and feedback into the curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry needs.
- Organize and manage career fairs, industry visits, and other networking events to connect students with potential employers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving skill requirements to provide students with relevant career guidance.
