Role Overview:

A premier global industrial conglomerate is conducting a search for a battle-tested Head - Industrial Relations & Administration to oversee workplace relations, statutory labor compliance, contract labor management, government liaison, and factory administration for its integrated plant operations in Raigarh.

This leadership role carries primary accountability for preserving sustained industrial harmony, managing trade union negotiations, structuring long-term wage settlements, ensuring 100% compliance with central and state labor statutes, and leading crisis mitigation and local community diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic IR & Industrial Peace:

- Formulate long-term industrial relations strategies to ensure zero man-day loss, proactive dispute resolution, and peaceful workforce relations across all production units.

Union Negotiations & Wage Settlements:

- Lead bipartite and tripartite negotiations with recognized worker unions, structure productivity-linked Long-Term Settlements, and handle conciliation proceedings.

Contract Labor Governance:

- Oversee contract labor management frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to CLRA, minimum wages, PF/ESIC, canteen/safety welfare, and standard operating vendor compliance.

Statutory Compliance & Legal Governance:

- Ensure absolute compliance across all statutory frameworks including Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Trade Unions Act, POSH, Standing Orders, and upcoming Labor Codes.

- Represent the company before Labor Courts, Industrial Tribunals, and Conciliation Officers.

Government & Community Liaison:

- Build and nurture institutional relationships with the Labor Department, Factory Inspectorate, District Administration, Local Law Enforcement, and local village panchayats.

Grievance Redressal & Disciplinary Governance:

- Oversee domestic inquiries, disciplinary actions, charge sheets, and progressive grievance handling to mitigate unrest.

Plant Security, Safety & Town Administration:

- Supervise plant physical security operations, crisis containment, emergency response readiness, and general plant administration.

Desired Profile:

Experience:

- 18-25 years of deep Industrial Relations and labor law leadership in large manufacturing complexes such as Integrated Steel, Power Plants, Cement, Metals & Mining, or Heavy Manufacturing.

Education:

- Masters in PMIR / MSW / MBA with a formal Law Degree (LLB) strongly preferred.

Regional Nuance:

- Deep familiarity with industrial relations dynamics, local community engagement, and labor administration practices in Central/Eastern India including Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jharkhand.

Language Proficiency:

- Fluent in Hindi and English; proficiency in local regional dialects is a strong plus.
