We are looking for a Young HR leader to head the Human Resources function for a large steel manufacturing organization with ongoing and upcoming plant expansions.

The role is strategic and operational, responsible for building scalable HR systems, managing HR Operations, and driving cultural transformation & Change Management

This is a position based in Africa in the Ethiopian - Adis Ababa (Adis Ababa is home to thousands of Indian Professionals)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end HR function including HR Strategy, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Policies, Administration and Compliance

- Design and execute HR strategy aligned with greenfield plant setup, capacity expansion, and long-term growth plans

- Drive culture transformation and change management initiatives, especially in manufacturing and shop-floor environments

- Partner with leadership to build a high-performance and accountability-driven culture

- Establish robust HR policies, SOPs, performance management, reward and retention frameworks

- Implement HR systems / HRIS and use people analytics to support decision-making

- Act as a strategic advisor to CEO and leadership team on people, succession and organizational effectiveness

Candidate Profile

- 15-23 years of progressive HR experience with 5+ years in a Head HR or BU HR Head role or a Number 2 in a large org (Not looking for very senior folks for this role)

- Need experience in manufacturing or Projects domain

- Demonstrated experience in culture change, change management and transformations

- Ability to work in fast-growing, complex, multi-location industrial environments

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities

- Some international experience preferred but not compulsory

- Education: MBA / Master's in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related discipline
