
Head - Human Resources - Multispecialty Hospital (15-30 yrs)

Reporting To: Management / COO

Role Objective
The HR Head will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations of the hospital with high integrity, discretion, and maturity, ensuring smooth people management in a sensitive hospital environment. The role requires someone who can act as a trusted bridge between management and employees, while maintaining strong compliance and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Own and drive the complete HR function including recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, performance management, and HR policies.
- Act as a custodian of organizational values, ethics, and confidentiality, critical in a hospital setup.
- Provide HR advisory support to management on sensitive people matters.
2. Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Lead hiring for medical, paramedical, nursing, and non-medical staff.
- Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning and replacement hiring.
- Ensure background verification, reference checks, and credential validation.
3. Employee Relations & Discipline
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution with maturity and fairness.
- Maintain a balance between empathy and firmness in people management.
- Ensure that hospital discipline, attendance, and conduct standards are consistently followed.
4. Performance Management
- Drive appraisal processes and performance reviews in coordination with management.
- Support department heads in goal setting and performance tracking.
- Identify non-performers and high-potential employees and suggest corrective actions.
5. Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (labour laws, hospital regulations, audits).
- Oversee HR documentation, employee records, contracts, and policies.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
6. Culture & Stability
- Maintain a stable work environment in a high-pressure healthcare setup.
- Act as a neutral, trusted HR leader who employees feel comfortable approaching.
Desired Profile
Experience: 12-18 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitals, healthcare, or large service organizations
Background: Hospital / healthcare HR experience strongly preferred
