Role Overview:

We are working with an esteemed client in the FMCG space who is seeking a seasoned HR professional to join their leadership team in Kolkata as the Head of HR.

In this pivotal role, you will act as a strategic partner overseeing the entire human capital lifecycle to drive organizational excellence. You will lead high-performing teams, collaborate closely with business unit heads to align workforce capabilities with long-term commercial objectives, and foster a culture of high engagement and performance. Your work will directly influence the company's growth trajectory, ensuring that our talent strategy remains a competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's vision to ensure sustainable business growth and operational efficiency.

- Spearhead leadership development initiatives to build a robust internal talent pipeline and ensure seamless succession planning for critical roles.

- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain top-tier industry talent while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

- Oversee end-to-end talent management processes, including performance appraisal systems and career development frameworks, to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.

- Champion organizational development projects to cultivate a high-performance culture that supports diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being across all departments.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable HR strategies that drive measurable organizational impact.

- Proven expertise in managing large-scale compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with market benchmarks and internal equity.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizational dynamics with diplomacy.

- Strong leadership capabilities, evidenced by a track record of mentoring diverse teams and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented work environment.

- Post-graduate degree in Human Resources or a related field from a premier institute, complemented by 20 to 30 years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles.

- High degree of adaptability to an on-site work environment in Kolkata, with the ability to lead change management initiatives effectively across multiple business functions.
