HR Head - EPC


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Management:

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business strategy.

- Partner with senior leadership to assess workforce needs, skills development, and succession planning.

- Manage the implementation of HR initiatives such as talent acquisition, retention strategies, and compensation planning.

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

- Lead the recruitment process for the head office and project teams, ensuring the acquisition of top talent in the EPC sector.

- Manage job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

- Build relationships with technical institutions, recruiters, and industry networks to ensure a pipeline of skilled professionals for EPC projects.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

- Serve as the point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies.

- Handle conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and labor laws.

- Ensure HR practices are compliant with local labor laws and regulations, especially regarding employment contracts, safety standards, and project-based labor laws.

Performance Management & Development:

- Oversee the performance review process, setting KPIs and goals for employees in alignment with the EPC project timelines and milestones.

- Identify training and development needs and create programs to upskill the workforce, particularly in project management, technical competencies, and leadership.

- Foster a culture of continuous feedback and professional growth.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Manage salary benchmarking, compensation reviews, and benefits administration to ensure competitive packages are offered to employees.

- Develop and monitor incentive programs tailored to the project-driven environment of the EPC industry.

- Ensure timely payroll processing and the administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses.

HR Policy & Systems:

- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are well-communicated across the head office and project sites.

- Manage HR information systems (HRIS) to ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

- Implement systems to monitor workforce productivity, employee satisfaction, and turnover rates.

Workforce Planning & Project Support:

- Collaborate with project managers to understand manpower requirements for ongoing and future EPC projects.

- Oversee the deployment and mobilization of employees to project sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Coordinate with site HR teams to manage field personnel, contractors, and subcontractors' employment issues.

Health & Safety Compliance:

- Work with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to ensure compliance with safety regulations for both head office and project sites.

- Implement wellness programs and safety initiatives that align with the company's commitment to employee well-being, particularly in hazardous EPC environments.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Education:


- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or MBA in HR is preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, preferably in the EPC, construction, or engineering industry.

- Strong experience in managing HR operations at a corporate/head office level and supporting large-scale projects.

- Proven experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, and compliance within a project-based environment.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, particularly in the EPC industry.

- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- Ability to handle conflict resolution and performance management with discretion and professionalism.

- Proficient in HR software and tools, with a good understanding of HRIS systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.

Additional Competencies:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment typical of EPC projects.

- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Adaptability to work with diverse teams, including engineers, project managers, and site-based employees.
