Role Overview:

As the Head - HR (Engineering), based in Pune, you will be a strategic partner to the Engineering leadership team, driving the people agenda to support business growth and innovation. You will be responsible for setting up the entire HR system, policy, management systems etc. You will be working closely with the C Level Executives to keep things in place and initiate a workplace culture You will be responsible for hiring team members for different divisions and put systems in place.You would be providing guidance and direction on all aspects of human resources, from talent acquisition and development to employee relations and compensation. Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a high-performance culture and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy for the Engineering function, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and a productive workforce.

- Lead the talent acquisition efforts for engineering roles, partnering with hiring managers to define requirements, source candidates, and manage the selection process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

- Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of engineering employees, supporting their professional growth and career advancement.

- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.

- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring that employees receive regular feedback and coaching, and that performance is aligned with business objectives.

- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring that they are competitive and aligned with market trends, attracting and retaining top talent.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and maintaining a positive work environment.

- Drive change management initiatives, supporting the organization through periods of transition and ensuring that employees are engaged and informed.

- Partner with the leadership team to develop and implement organization development initiatives, improving organizational effectiveness and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Oversee workforce planning and succession planning activities, ensuring that the organization has the right people in the right roles to meet its future needs.

- Manage the HRIS system, ensuring that employee data is accurate and up-to-date, and that the system is used effectively to support HR processes.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, driving organizational performance and growth.

- Proven expertise in talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection, with a strong track record of attracting and hiring top engineering talent.

- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits principles, with the ability to design and administer programs that are competitive and aligned with market trends.

- Excellent employee relations skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and build positive relationships with employees at all levels.

- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex HR issues.

- Experience with HRIS systems, with the ability to use technology to improve HR processes and efficiency.

- Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

- Adaptable to working in an on-site environment in Pune.
