Role Overview:
As the Head of Human Resources, you will be a core leadership team member, working closely with the Founders and Directors. You will own the entire people functionfrom hiring and culture to performance, discipline, leadership development, and long-term organizational design.
You will shape how Tallento hires, grows, evaluates, rewards, and retains talent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Culture Building:
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the Founders and leadership team
- Build and institutionalize Tallentos culture, values, and behavioral standards
- Create a performance-driven yet humane work environment
- Drive accountability, ownership, and leadership mindset across teams
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Own end-to-end hiring strategy (Tech, Product, HR, Sales, Operations, Leadership roles)
- Build scalable hiring frameworks, interviewer guidelines, and selection scorecards
- Ensure quality hiring, not just fast hiring
- Reduce attrition through better role clarity and expectation setting
3. Performance Management & Productivity:
Design and implement:
KPIs
OKRs
Performance scorecards
Monthly & quarterly review systems
- Identify high performers, average performers, and underperformers early
- Drive PIPs, coaching plans, promotions, and succession planning
4. Employee Lifecycle & Engagement:
Own the complete employee lifecycle:
Onboarding
Training
Performance reviews
Rewards & recognition
Exit management
- Build strong onboarding programs so new hires become productive fast
- Improve employee engagement without compromising discipline
5. HR Policies, Compliance & Governance:
- Design clear, practical HR policies aligned with Indian labor laws
- Ensure compliance across payroll, attendance, leaves, contracts, and documentation
- Handle employee relations, escalations, and conflict resolution maturely
6. Leadership Development & Capability Building:
- Identify future leaders within the organization
- Create leadership grooming and mentoring programs
- Coach managers on people management, feedback, and decision-making
7. HR Systems & Automation:
Work closely with tech/product teams to:
Improve HRMS usage
Automate performance tracking
Strengthen data-driven HR decisions
- Use metrics, dashboards, and reports to drive HR strategy
Who Were Looking For:
Must-Have Experience:
- 8-15 years of progressive HR experience
- Prior experience in a reputed startup or MNC
- Experience managing 50+ to 300+ employee organizations
- Hands-on exposure to fast-growing environments

- Strong understanding of people psychology and business realities
- Ability to balance empathy with accountability
- Excellent communication and conflict-handling skills
- Structured thinker with execution mindset
- Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leaders
