Head - HR (15-25 yrs)
The Head - HR will be responsible for leading the HR strategy and execution for the Retail Liabilities business. The role will have a dual focus: 50% on recruitment and talent acquisition for branch banking roles across levels, and 50% on core HR responsibilities including employee engagement, talent development, performance management, and policy implementation.
- The incumbent will act as a strategic HR partner to the Retail Liabilities leadership team, ensuring the function attracts, retains, and develops the right talent while driving a high-performance and employee-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (50%):
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Retail Liabilities roles (branch banking, sales, product specialists, regional/cluster heads, etc.).
- Drive manpower planning in collaboration with business leaders to ensure timely fulfillment of hiring needs.
- Build a strong sourcing strategy including campus hiring, lateral hiring, employee referrals, and recruitment partnerships.
- Ensure quality of hires by implementing effective screening, assessment, and selection processes.
- Manage recruitment KPIs such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and retention of new hires.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top talent in the banking sector.
2. HR Business Partnering & Core HR (50%):
- Partner with Retail Liabilities leadership to align HR strategy with business goals.
- Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning and leadership pipeline development.
- Oversee performance management cycles (goal setting, reviews, feedback) and enable a merit-driven culture.
- Implement employee engagement programs to boost morale, productivity, and retention.
- Address employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and compliant workplace.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to design training interventions for sales, leadership, and customer service capabilities.
- Ensure HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and implemented across the Retail Liabilities network.
- Provide insights and analytics to leadership on attrition, engagement, and workforce trends.
Key Requirements:
- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute.
- Experience: 12-18 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within BFSI (Banking/Financial Services). Strong exposure to large-scale recruitment in branch banking/retail liabilities is mandatory.
- Proven track record in HR business partnering, talent management, and employee engagement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
