About the Role:
We are looking for a Head of HR to build and scale the people function from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands tech hiring deeply, has worked in IT / product startups, and can act as a strong HRBP to founders and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition (Core Focus):
- Own end-to-end tech hiring (Engineering, AI/ML, Product, Data, Tech Leadership roles)
- Design and execute scalable hiring strategies for rapid growth
- Build strong sourcing pipelines (LinkedIn, referrals, niche tech platforms)
- Partner closely with founders and tech leaders on workforce planning
- Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top tech talent
2. HR Business Partnering (HRBP):
- Act as a trusted advisor to founders and leadership team
- Drive performance management, OKRs, feedback and appraisal cycles
- Support managers on people decisions, org design, and team effectiveness
- Build a strong performance-driven and ownership-led culture
3. HR Operations & Compliance:
- Own HR operations end-to-end (policies, payroll, compliance, attendance, exits)
- Ensure statutory compliance and HR hygiene in a startup environment
- Implement HR systems/processes suitable for a fast-growing tech company
4. Generalist & Culture Building:
- Design onboarding, engagement, and retention programs
- Drive employee experience initiatives across the lifecycle
- Build and institutionalize HR policies, SOPs, and frameworks
- Champion company culture, values, and DEI initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8-12 years of HR experience with strong exposure to tech/startups
- Proven track record in tech hiring (IT / Product / Engineering roles)
- Experience working in IT services, product companies, or AI startups
- Strong understanding of startup hiring challenges and pace
- Hands-on, execution-oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience scaling teams in early to mid-stage startups
- Exposure to AI, SaaS, Product-led or B2B tech companies
- Experience setting up HR processes from scratch.
