Job Summary:
Head of HR & IR
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of HR & IR to lead the human resources and industrial relations functions within our automotive Tier 1 manufacturing organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering a positive work environment, and managing industrial relations to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
- Manage employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, industrial regulations, and company policies.
- Handle industrial relations, including negotiations with unions and employee representatives.
- Resolve employee grievances and disputes effectively.
- Drive initiatives related to employee safety, wellness, and workplace culture.
- Monitor HR metrics and analyze trends to improve HR processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Lead change management initiatives and organizational development efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 to 12 years of experience in HR & IR within the automotive manufacturing sector or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, industrial relations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in handling union negotiations and industrial disputes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing companies.
- Familiarity with HR software and HR analytics tools.
