We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head HR Labour Management to lead industrial relations, labour compliance, workforce management, and employee engagement initiatives across the organization. The role requires strong expertise in handling unionized environments, statutory compliance, grievance management, disciplinary procedures, and maintaining harmonious employee relations while supporting business objectives.

- The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, in-depth knowledge of labour laws, and hands-on experience in managing large blue-collar workforces in manufacturing or industrial setups.

Key Responsibilities:


Industrial & Labour Relations:

- Lead and manage all Industrial Relations (IR) and Labour Relations activities across plant/business operations.

- Build and maintain healthy relationships with unions, worker representatives, and labour authorities.

- Handle wage settlements, long-term settlements, union negotiations, and collective bargaining agreements.

- Resolve employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict management effectively.

- Ensure smooth handling of conciliation proceedings, labour disputes, domestic enquiries, and legal matters.

Statutory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory regulations including:

- Factories Act

- Industrial Disputes Act

- Contract Labour Act

- Minimum Wages Act

- PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, and related compliances

- Liaise with government authorities, labour departments, inspectors, and external legal consultants.

- Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews to minimize organizational risk.

Workforce Management:


- Manage manpower planning, contractor workforce management, and attendance systems.

- Monitor workforce productivity, absenteeism, attrition, and labour cost optimization.

- Drive initiatives for employee welfare, safety, and workplace discipline.

HR Operations & Strategy:


- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

- Lead HR policies, SOPs, and workforce governance frameworks.

- Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.

- Drive culture-building initiatives and strengthen employer-employee relationships.

Stakeholder Management:


- Collaborate with plant leadership, operations, legal teams, and senior management.

- Represent the organization in labour-related discussions and external forums when required.

Desired Candidate Profile:


- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Personnel Management.

- 10-15 years of experience in HR with strong exposure to Labour Management and Industrial Relations.

- Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, FMCG, or industrial environments preferred.

- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory regulations.

- Proven experience in handling unions and large blue-collar workforce.

- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
