Job Description:
The Head HR, Certification & Process Management
This role will design and implement forward-looking HR policies, oversee 63+ plant audits and certifications annually, manage talent acquisition and retention, and ensure cost-optimized administration and security across locations.
The incumbent will play a strategic role in aligning people, processes, and compliance to enable the company's export-led growth while tackling challenges such as managing large-scale certifications, building empowered teams at plant level, and reducing overall operational costs by 20% (compared to 2023 benchmarks).
Key Responsibilities:
Human Capital Strategy & Execution:
- Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and induction to ensure optimal staffing aligned with approved cost structures.
- Drive organizational development through performance management systems (PMS), succession planning, and incentive-based reward practices.
- Design and implement employee-friendly, transparent, and performance-driven HR policies.
Certification & Compliance Leadership:
- Oversee 63+ audits and certifications annually, ensuring minimal disruption and optimized scheduling (consolidating audits into one quarter where possible).
- Build strong, capable teams at each location to independently manage audits and certifications.
- Expand engagement with certification agencies to reduce dependency on single bodies.
Cost Optimization & Process Excellence:
- Reduce operational, audit, and administrative costs by 20% over 2023 benchmarks.
- Implement best practices for minimizing employee turnover, optimizing plant security, and controlling TA/DA, pantry, and related costs.
- Champion inter-departmental coordination via structured business review meetings across export, production, PPC, shipping, and quality teams.
Leadership & Engagement:
- Conduct monthly in-house training and quarterly external learning sessions.
- Drive HOD-level engagement through structured outings and team-building initiatives.
- Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and disciplined execution across all facilities.
Critical Success Factors:
- Achieve 20% reduction in operational and administrative costs compared to 2023 within the first year.
- Successfully consolidate 90% of plant certifications and audits into one quarter, minimizing annual disruptions.
- Build self-sufficient, high-performing plant HR and certification teams within 12 months.
- Maintain employee turnover below industry benchmarks while enhancing engagement scores.
- Ensure 100% compliance with domestic and international certification standards.
- Experience leading multi-location teams and driving cost-optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with global organic certifications (NPOP, USDA, Bio-Suisse) is strongly preferred.
