Head - Hedge Accounting Control & Solutions

The position leads the Hedge Accounting Control & Solution Center of Excellence within the Treasury function. The role is central to expanding hedge accounting capabilities, ensuring IFRS 9 compliance, and delivering strategic treasury initiatives across the Group.

Responsibilities:

- The Head of Hedge Accounting Control & Solution plays a strategic leadership role in designing and implementing hedge accounting strategies across the bank, from opportunity assessment to final approval.

- This includes identifying hedgeable exposures, leading proof-of-concept initiatives, and ensuring compliance with IAS 39 and IFRS 9 through collaboration with Technical Accounting, Treasury, IRRBB, and Product Control.

- The role drives system enhancements, develops valuation models, and oversees enterprise-wide hedge accounting initiatives, including readiness for IFRS 9 DRM transition.

- It also involves building and maintaining a robust control environment, particularly around FTP controllership, while fostering a high-performance team culture through mentorship, training, and succession planning. The position requires preparing complex technical papers for internal

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, CFA) is strongly preferred.

- 10-15 years of experience in finance or accounting functions, with a strong preference for candidates with Treasury and Hedge accounting expertise.

- Deep technical knowledge of hedge accounting frameworks (e.g., IAS 39) and practical experience in financial instrument valuation.

- Demonstrated success in designing and executing hedge accounting strategies across multiple risk types.

- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to apply judgment in data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate across business, finance, and technical teams.
