Head of Department Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified HOD Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead and manage all EHS functions at our industrial facility in Jamnagar. The ideal candidate must come from a factory/manufacturing background (not residential) and possess strong leadership capabilities in implementing and maintaining safety standards and compliance.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Mandatory: Government Institute Diploma in Safety (Diploma from private colleges/universities will NOT be considered)
- BE/B.Tech (any stream except CSE) preferred OR
- Diploma in Engineering
Experience Requirements:
- If BE/B.Tech + Govt. Safety Diploma: Minimum 15+ years of experience in EHS (Factory/Plant environment)
- If Engineering Diploma + Govt. Safety Diploma: Minimum 18+ years of experience in EHS (Factory/Plant environment)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the EHS department and oversee all Environment, Health & Safety systems across the plant.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate safety standards.
- Develop and implement EHS policies, SOPs, and risk management processes.
- Conduct audits, hazard assessments, and safety training programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workplace safety.
- Coordinate with government authorities and internal teams.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Strong background in industrial/manufacturing EHS operations.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale factory environments.
- Excellent knowledge of EHS legal requirements and best practices.
- Ability to implement safety culture and enforce compliance.
