About the Role:
- We are hiring for a Head of Harvester Design for a leading, large-scale engineering and manufacturing organization in the farm equipment and agricultural machinery space.
- This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the end-to-end design, development, and innovation of combine harvesters and crop harvesting solutions tailored for diverse global markets, including India.
- The role offers a unique opportunity to own product platforms, lead high-impact R&D initiatives, and shape next-generation harvesting technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and development of combine harvesters (concept prototype validation commercialization)
- Drive innovation across threshing, separation, cleaning, and grain handling systems
- Own product architecture and platform strategy for harvesting equipment
- Lead and mentor large cross-functional engineering teams (design, testing, validation, manufacturing interface)
- Ensure products meet performance, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements across markets
- Drive field validation and customer-centric design improvements (crop adaptability, grain loss reduction, efficiency)
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and business teams for seamless product launches
- Benchmark against global technologies and introduce best-in-class engineering practices
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 15-25 years of experience in agricultural machinery / farm equipment domain

Strong hands-on experience in combine harvester design and development- Deep expertise in:
- Threshing & separation systems
- Straw walker / rotary systems
- Crop flow & grain handling mechanisms
- Proven track record of leading full product lifecycle development
- Experience managing large engineering/R&D teams
- Exposure to global markets and multi-crop harvesting conditions is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of field performance, customer usage, and cost optimization
- Engineering degree in Mechanical / Agricultural Engineering (Masters preferred)
