Role Overview
The Head of Growth Strategist will be responsible for driving sales growth, visibility, and market share across all online platforms E-Commerce (Amazon, Flipkart, Website) and Quick Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, Swiggy Minis, etc.).
This role combines deep understanding of FMCG consumer behaviour, performance marketing, digital analytics, platform operations, and cross-functional coordination to scale GMV and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Planning
- Design and execute monthly and quarterly growth strategies across all online channels to achieve sales, traffic, and conversion targets.
- Develop platform-specific playbooks (Amazon, Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart, etc.) for visibility, assortment, pricing, and promotions.
- Create an integrated growth calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, seasonal peaks, and new product launches.
- Forecast demand by channel and ensure stock alignment with supply chain.
2. Category & Account Management
- Own P&L responsibility for online channels.
- Collaborate with category teams on assortment, product visibility, price benchmarking, and content optimisation.
- Manage trade spends, visibility budgets, and ROI on each platform.
- Negotiate with platform category managers for banners, search placement, and exclusive promotions.
3. Quick Commerce Acceleration
- Develop and execute growth strategy for quick commerce platforms (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, Swiggy Minis).
- Monitor OSA (On Shelf Availability), slot coverage, and delivery TAT across warehouses.
- Design and evaluate quick commerce-specific offers, combos, and sampling SKUs.
- Partner with operations to ensure fill rate 95% and optimal warehouse mapping.
4. Digital & Performance Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing and agency teams to execute paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and marketplace ads (Amazon Ads, Zepto visibility).
- Analyse CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), ROAS, and CLTV by channel and optimise spends.
- Coordinate with the content team to ensure SEO-optimised listings, A+ content, and UGC/influencer-driven visibility.
5. Data & Growth Analytics
- Build growth dashboards in Excel / Power BI / ClickUp for daily sales, platform share, ROI, visibility score, and marketing efficiency.
Track metrics such as:
- Conversion rate (CTR ATC Purchase)
- ROAS & platform ROI
- Category rank, search share, and OSA
- Repeat purchase % and customer retention rate
- Recommend data-driven experiments for improving conversion and reducing churn.
. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and NPD to ensure alignment between stock, offers, and visibility.
- Support offline and modern trade growth through insights gathered from online channels.
- Contribute to AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and Monthly MIS for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / Postgraduate in Marketing, Strategy, or E-Commerce.
- 7 to 12 years experience in digital growth, e-commerce, or quick commerce roles (preferably FMCG / D2C brands).
- Strong understanding of Amazon, Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart dashboards, keyword analytics, and pricing algorithms.
- Preferred experience in managing 520 Cr annual online business.
- Proficient in data analytics, Excel/Power BI, and marketing dashboards.
- Prior exposure to ERP/ClickUp/CRM systems a plus.
