Job Description

We are hiring for a leading MNC Automotive OEM having manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will lead government relations strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks while driving positive engagement with state authorities.

Candidate should have experience in Land Acquisition - Negotiation and Paperwork, Understanding of TN Govt Statutory Licenses, Excellent connects with relevant Govt Ministry and Consultants and preference to candidates who have worked on Green Field Projects in the state.

Local candidates who are in similar roles with leading Corporates in Tamil Nadu are required, as local experience is critical.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team to develop and strengthen relationships with Tamil Nadu government authorities through strategic engagement.

- Direct and organize communication activities with government authorities and related organizations.

- Manage dispute resolution with government and regulatory bodies.

- Monitor and analyze changes in local policies and provide periodic reports.

- Communicate policy changes to management and support in updating company policies accordingly.

- Identify, analyze, and plan programs on various government incentive schemes.

- Ensure compliance of various sites with regulatory requirements.

- Conduct first-level feasibility studies for potential investment projects.

- Manage external and internal risks to protect the company's interests.

Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 20 years of experience working with Tamil Nadu Government authorities and related associations.

- Strong existing relationships with Tamil Nadu government agencies for regulatory approvals.

- Preferred industry background: Automotive, Engineering, Cement, Industrial Automation.

- High-level communication skills for engaging with various levels of government authorities.

- Proven track record of successfully influencing and contributing positively during government interactions.

- Expertise in negotiation, lobbying, and government relationship building.
