Position Overview : The Head of Global Treasury will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's treasury operations across India and Southeast Asia. This role involves ensuring optimal liquidity management, efficient capital structure, and robust banking relationships, while adhering to regulatory compliance (FEMA, FDI) for cross-border transactions.


Reports To: India CFO & dotted line to Global CFO

Location: Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

This position is a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company, ensuring stability, growth, and compliance in an increasingly globalized market.

1. Treasury Operations Management:

- Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, ensuring effective cashflow forecasting and liquidity management.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's working capital.

- Manage foreign exchange risks, interest rate risks, and other treasury-related financial risks.

2. Debt Fundraising:

- Lead debt fundraising initiatives in India and internationally through various instruments.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to structure and execute debt financing transactions.

- Maintain relationships with domestic and international lenders, investors, and other financial institutions.

- Ensure compliance with regulations and market best practices in debt financing and capital markets.

3. Banking and Financial Institution Relations:

- Establish and maintain strong banking relationships to support daily treasury needs and long-term financial strategies.

- Negotiate terms with financial institutions to optimize credit facilities and interest rates.

- Ensure cost-effective and efficient management of banking operations, including payments and collections.

4. Cross-border Fund Flow Management:

- Ensure smooth fund transfers across borders, coordinating with legal, compliance, and tax teams to adhere to local regulations.

- Manage cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance with FEMA, FDI regulations, and other relevant financial laws.

- Work with teams in multiple jurisdictions to manage cash positions and repatriation strategies.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with FEMA, FDI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to cross-border treasury operations.

- Prepare and present accurate reports on the company's financial status, cash flow, and liquidity.

- Ensure all treasury activities meet company policies, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements, and international standards.

6. Cashflow and Liquidity Management:

- Manage short- and long-term cashflow forecasting and planning.

- Optimize capital allocation and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs.

- Work closely with the finance team to align treasury goals with the company's financial strategies.

Key Qualifications:

- CA with 10+ years of treasury experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven experience in raising debt through bonds, NCDs, ECBs, and other instruments.

- Strong knowledge of cross-border fund flows and regulatory compliance (FEMA, FDI, RBI, etc.).

- Excellent relationship management skills with banks, investors, and financial institutions.

- Experience in cash management, risk management, and financial planning in a multi-country environment.

- Deep understanding of foreign exchange management and global treasury best practices.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex financial data and make strategic decisions.

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment.

- Strong negotiation skills and an ability to influence senior stakeholders.
