Head - Global Logistics - Retail

Job Summary:

The Head of Global Logistics will oversee the end-to-end logistics network spanning international transportation, warehousing, and last-mile distribution for global markets. The role requires strategic leadership in optimizing global freight operations, managing 3PL/4PL partnerships, and driving supply chain digitization. The candidate will lead large cross-functional teams to achieve delivery excellence, scalability, and cost competitiveness across international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and execute global logistics strategy to support retail/e-commerce growth across markets.

- Lead cross-border logistics operations - including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and trade compliance.

- Manage global 3PL/4PL partners and negotiate international freight contracts for cost optimization.

- Oversee end-to-end warehousing and distribution network design for scalability and efficiency.

- Drive process automation and digital transformation in logistics tracking and visibility tools.

- Collaborate with sourcing, planning, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure service excellence.

- Implement best practices in sustainability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

- Monitor logistics KPIs globally - cost per shipment, delivery lead time, and on-time performance.

- Lead and mentor regional logistics heads and operations teams.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations; MBA preferred.

- 12-20 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership/global role.

- Experience in retail or e-commerce logistics operations, preferably managing multi-country networks.

- Proven track record of optimizing logistics cost, efficiency, and delivery timelines.

- Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs, and global freight management.

- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and leadership skills.
