Head - Global In-Licensing and M&A, (PHARMA)
Description:
The Head Global In-Licensing & M&A will lead the organisations worldwide growth agenda by sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic partnerships, product in-licensing opportunities, and acquisition deals across key international markets. The role requires extensive hands-on experience working with partners in the USA, Latin America, Europe, CIS, Canada, and Australia, along with deep understanding of global regulatory, commercial, and scientific dynamics. The incumbent will drive end-to-end deal execution and play a critical role in shaping the companys future portfolio, global footprint, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess high-potential in-licensing and M&A opportunities across the U.S., LATAM, EU, CIS, Canada, and Australia.
- Build and maintain a robust global pipeline of products, technologies, and strategic partners aligned with corporate priorities.
Deal Execution & Negotiation:
- Lead comprehensive due diligence, valuation modelling, and risk assessments across scientific, legal, financial, and regulatory dimensions.
- Drive negotiation and conclusion of licensing agreements, co-development partnerships, and acquisition contracts.
- Ensure deal structures optimise long-term strategic and commercial value.
Global Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and manage high-impact global relationships with pharma companies, biotech firms, research institutions, technology partners, and advisors.
- Represent the organisation at key international partnering meetings, industry forums, and networking platforms.
Market, Competitive & Regulatory Intelligence:
- Continuously track global market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and regulatory shifts across target geographies.
- Present sharp, insight-driven analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
Post-Deal Integration:
- Oversee seamless integration of licensed assets or acquired entities into the organisation.
- Ensure alignment with commercial, regulatory, supply chain, and operational functions to maximise post-deal value realisation.
Required Competencies:
- Proven cross-border deal-making experience across North America, Europe, LATAM, CIS, and Australia.
- Strong financial acumen with deep expertise in valuation, deal modelling, and transaction structuring.
- Advanced understanding of global regulatory and IP frameworks.
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building capability.
- Global perspective with the ability to operate effectively in multicultural environments.
- Experience with sterile dosage forms is an added advantage.
