One of our fast moving D2C client operating in Personal Care Space is looking for a dynamic, data-driven and execution-focused Head of GT to lead the brand's national Go-to-Market strategy across General Trade (GT). This role will own distribution expansion, market penetration, field execution, and sales efficiency for one of India's fastest-scaling consumer brands.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead national GT strategy, distribution expansion, and network productivity across metros, Tier 2/3, and emerging markets.
- Manage and mentor a team while strengthening capability building, hiring, onboarding, and performance processes for frontline teams.
- Drive core sales operations revenue, coverage, outlet growth, merchandising, stock hygiene, and field execution through SFA/DSR systems.
- Partner with trade marketing and supply chain to execute GT activations, manage GT spends, improve forecast accuracy, and drive ROI.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on annual planning, budgeting, and rapid scaling of new launches in GT channels.
Requirements:
- 10-14 years of experience in Sales/GTM roles across FMCG and startup environments (must-have).
- Demonstrated track record of building, expanding, and scaling GT networks at national or multi-region levels.
- Deep expertise in distribution management, SFA platforms, and secondary/tertiary sales processes, along with strong knowledge of GT compliance standards.
