Our clients are a leading, mid-sized real estate organisation based in Mumbai, catering to the high-end residential property in the upmarket suburbs of Mumbai. With over five decades of experience, the group has delivered more than 2 million sq. ft. across prime localities in Mumbai and Thane. Its ongoing and upcoming projects are strategically located across Mumbai. The enterprise is debt-free and preparing for an SME IPO in 2026.

Our clients are seeking a highly accomplished Finance Head based in the Mumbai suburbs to lead the finance function. Must be hands-on and have strong strategic & operational experience.

Ideal candidates must demonstrate high initiative, ownership, and integrity and possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and vision.

Role Overview:

- The Finance Head will be responsible for managing and executing the financial strategies set by the Board, as well as facilitating SME IPO implementation and listing of the organisation.

- This leadership role requires 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 57 years in the real estate sector, with experience in IPO listings, compliance, and financial governance.

- The Finance Head will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving financial discipline, profitability, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Governance:

- Lead accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project planning, and financial reporting processes.

- Act as a financial advisor to the Board, CMD, and CEO on business growth, capital structuring, and profitability.

- Ensure robust internal controls, systems, and processes to maintain financial integrity.

Capital Management & Investor Relations

- Build and manage investor relations to ensure timely communication and transparency.

- Oversee cash flow, working capital, collections, and cost optimisation across projects.

Business Partnering & Strategic Insights

- Collaborate with the project, sales, legal, and operations teams for seamless financial planning.

- Support leadership in fundraising, M&A opportunities, and capital structuring.

Team Leadership

- Build a performance-driven culture that emphasises accountability, governance, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of finance leadership experience.

- At least 57 years in the real estate sector.

- Experience in IPO follow up, compliance, project finance, taxation, treasury, and investor relations.

Skills:

- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.

- Hands-on execution with the ability to manage day-to-day finance and accounting activities.

- Familiarity with financial systems, technology adoption, and automation in finance.
