Head - Fund Manager - Portfolio Management Services

Description: Urgent Hiring Fund Manager - Portfolio Management Services (PMS). (Investment-Led Wealth-Tech Platform | Indian Equities). I am currently retained on a high-impact leadership mandate for a research-driven wealth-tech platform that is building a long-term Indian equities PMS business at its core. This is not a distribution-led or product-first launch. The PMS will define the firms investment identity with institutional process, governance, and client trust being foundational.

Role: Head - PMS Fund Manager (Equity Investing) Strong equity research capability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the end-to-end investment process - research, portfolio construction, risk management.

- Build a high-conviction equity strategy focused on compounding and capital protection.

- Institutionalise governance: IC discipline, drawdown frameworks, SEBI-grade reporting.

- Lead HNI/UHNI investor engagement with clarity on philosophy, performance, and risk.

- Partner with the platform to deliver a transparent, digital-first investor experience.

- Scale the PMS vertical, including hiring and research capability building.

- Ensure compliance with SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 8+ years in public markets / asset management.

- 5+ years of direct portfolio or fund management experience across cycles.

- Strong quality-first investing and downside risk orientation, strong equity reseacrh capability.

- Credibility with sophisticated investors and fiduciary mindset.

Certifications (Mandatory): NISM-Series-XXI-A (Portfolio Managers Certification).

Preferred: NISM X-A / X-B | CFA / CA / MBA (Finance).
