About the Company:

A 75 year old Indian conglomerate with presence in India and abroad managing different business verticals and entities.

Location: Mangalore, India

Reporting To: Group CFO

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

The Fund Manager will oversee and manage the investment portfolio and financial affairs of the family office. The role involves strategic asset allocation, investment evaluation, risk management, wealth preservation, and coordination with external advisors to achieve long-term financial objectives. The portfolio has Indian and International components.

Investment Management:

- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with family objectives

- Manage diversified portfolios across:

i. Equities

ii. Fixed income

iii. Real estate

iv. Private equity

v. Venture capital

vi. Alternative assets

- Monitor market trends and identify investment opportunities

- Conduct due diligence on investment proposals and fund managers

Portfolio Monitoring:

- Track portfolio performance and benchmark returns

- Prepare periodic investment reports and dashboards

- Rebalance portfolios based on market conditions and risk appetite

Risk & Compliance:

- Assess financial and operational risks

- Ensure regulatory and tax compliance

- Coordinate with auditors, legal advisors, and tax consultants

Wealth & Estate Planning:

- Support succession planning and inter-generational wealth transfer

- Assist in trust structures and estate planning

- Manage liquidity and cash flow requirements

Stakeholder Management:

- Present investment recommendations to family principals

- Maintain relationships with banks, private equity firms, and advisors

- Coordinate philanthropic and strategic investment initiatives if required

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA Finance / CA / CFA / CFP with 8-20 years experience in

i. Wealth management

ii. Investment banking

iii. Private banking

iv. Asset management

v. Family office operations

Skills Required:

- Portfolio construction

- Financial modelling and valuation

- Tax and regulatory understanding

- Confidentiality and discretion

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Relationship management
