Head - Fund & Portfolio Finance - Venture Capital Fund

A leading venture capital fund is seeking a highly experienced and strategic AVP/VP Finance (Head of Fund & Portfolio Finance) to join its leadership team. This role is crucial for driving financial excellence across internal operations and portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in startup fundraising or PE/VC deal execution.

- Lead the financial strategy for Transition VC and its portfolio startups, ensuring alignment with overall growth objectives.

- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and operational planning.

- Collaborate with leadership teams to provide actionable insights, enabling strategic scaling.

- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies during fundraising rounds, from Series A onwards.

- Oversee capital budgeting and debt financing for portfolio startups, ensuring effective resource allocation and facilitating debt fundraising efforts.

- Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, preparing investor-ready financial documents, presentations, and detailed reports for management prior to investment decisions.

- Help establish robust financial controls, reporting mechanisms, and governance frameworks across Transition VC and its portfolio companies.

- Liaise with secretarial diligence teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for both Transition VC and its portfolio companies.

- Drive the development of MIS reporting and oversee yearly budgeting for portfolio startups and the fund.

- Monitor portfolio companies' performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
