Head - Fulfilment Centre Operations - FMCG/Food Processing

Role Overview :

As the Fulfillment Center (FC) Head, you will serve as the operational backbone of our Mumbai facility, overseeing the entire lifecycle of inventory from receipt to final dispatch. You will lead high-performing teams to ensure seamless inbound and outbound workflows, maintaining rigorous standards for speed, accuracy, and safety. By collaborating closely with supply chain planners, logistics partners, and regional leadership, you will drive process optimizations that directly enhance customer satisfaction and operational margins. Your leadership will be pivotal in scaling our fulfillment capabilities to meet ambitious growth targets while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct end-to-end warehouse operations to ensure daily throughput targets are met while maintaining optimal inventory accuracy and process compliance.

- Manage the inbound and outbound logistics pipeline to minimize lead times and ensure seamless coordination with last-mile delivery partners.

- Implement lean methodologies and data-driven process improvements to reduce operational costs and eliminate bottlenecks in the fulfillment cycle.

Role Context:

The individual would be responsible for managing all aspects of operations of a large customer facing fulfilment center/warehouse setup for food products (50,000 - 1,000,000 sq. ft.), including:

- Warehousing operations

- Last-mile operations

- Customer Experience

- Efficiency, Quality and cold chain

- Workforce and Logistics Sourcing

- People development and welfare

- Process improvements and tech implementations

- Facility management and hygiene

The role requires someone who can operate in a fast-paced environment, build scalable processes, and work closely with multiple stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
