Head - Financial Reporting

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of period end closings and reporting

- Providing high quality analysis of financial results of the company by different dimensions and offering appropriate recommendations

- Lead the implementation of IND AS 117, ensuring the company's financial reporting aligns with Indian Accounting Standards for insurance contracts.

- Handling queries from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, tax authorities, auditors)

- Ensuring full compliance with IRDAI regulations, including financial reporting, solvency margins, and statutory filings.

- Driving simplification and process efficiency improvements, e.g. through automation or outsourcing

- Ensuring collaboration and driving harmonisation of financial reporting processes

- Setting up and managing finance systems (including accounting and tax), processes, and internal controls.

Qualification:

- A professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.

Experience & Key Skills:

- At least 7-8 years post qualifying experience in a finance or accounting role

- Strong understanding of IRDAI regulations, insurance accounting, and local & international financial reporting standards.
