Head - Financial Planning & Analysis - Electronic Manufacturing Firm

Key Focus

To lead and manage the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, and Plant Industrial Finance functions to enable sound financial decision-making, enhance profitability, and ensure strategic alignment across the organization.

The role will drive budgeting, forecasting, gross margin analysis, product pricing, industrial cost control, capex planning, and digital finance transformation initiatives. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep financial acumen, commercial insight, and strong stakeholder management across business and manufacturing

functions.

This role will report to CFO - India.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Budgeting and Forecasting

- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across business units.

- Align financial plans with strategic and operational goals.

- Provide forward-looking insights on revenue, cost, and profitability.

2. FP&A (up to Gross Margin)

- Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting up to the gross margin level.

- Provide variance analysis, scenario planning, and insights for cost optimization.

- Deliver periodic performance reviews to business and leadership teams.

3. Commercial Finance

- Own product pricing models, price realization tracking, and margin control.

- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure commercially viable offerings.

- Ensure alignment between pricing strategy and profitability targets.

4. Industrial Finance

- Drive cost control and efficiency initiatives in coordination with plant operations and supply chain teams.

- Monitor and report on factory-level performance metrics, cost centers, and variances.

- Provide financial leadership for industrial productivity and waste reduction.

5. Capex Management

- Evaluate and monitor capital investment proposals from a financial ROI/IRR standpoint.

- Partner with project and plant teams to manage capex budget vs. actual tracking.

- Support post-implementation reviews to ensure investment outcomes are achieved.

6. Digital Finance / Data Analytics

- Lead finance digitalization initiatives - automation, dashboarding, and predictive analytics.

- Build a data-driven decision-making culture using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

- Drive efficiencies through ERP/BI systems enhancement and adoption.

7. Plant Finance Oversight

Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with Big 6 articleship preferred or MBA in Finance from a top-tier B-school

Experience:

- Around 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with strong exposure to FP&A, commercial finance, and plant/industrial finance in manufacturing, industrial, or consumer sectors

- Proven experience in leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles.

- Expertise in gross margin analysis, variance reporting, and financial dashboarding.

- Ability to interpret financial data into strategic insights for leadership decision-making

- Familiarity with working in a multi-plant environment and plant ERP systems

- Hands-on experience in evaluating capex proposals (ROI, IRR, NPV analysis)

- Strong experience in managing cross-functional finance teams
