Head - Finance - Women's Fashion D2C Brand

About out client:

Our client is an Indian fashion brand specializing in ethnic and Indo-Western apparel for women.

The brand primarily operates through online channels and offers a diverse portfolio of contemporary and traditional styles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

- Prepare financial statements in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

- Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors.

- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.

- Monitor internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

- Develop and maintain systems for handling financial data and processes.

- Assist management with important financial decisions and budgeting.

- Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team.

- Work closely with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

- Mandatory qualification as a Chartered Accountant(CA).

- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, ERP systems).

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in manufacturing, service or retail industry.

- Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other relevant regulations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Preferably a candidate with business acumen.
