Position Overview
The role is responsible for leading statutory and regulatory audits, driving automation and simplification initiatives, providing operational and systems support to business teams, and delivering strategic insights for management decision-making. A critical focus area will be the end-to-end ownership of SAP strategy, implementation, and integration across key modules (SD/MM, FI, FICO), making SAP implementation experience mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
1) Audit & Compliance
- Lead statutory, internal, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely and accurate information flow across Business, Risk, Operations, and Legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and Indian Accounting Standards; interpret regulatory updates and implement aligned practices.
- Drive resolution of audit issues and ensure clean audit reports.
2) SAP & Systems Implementation
- Develop and execute the organization's SAP strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation and enhancements across SD/MM and FI modules, ensuring seamless integration with Anaplan, Concur, Leasing, and other enterprise systems.
- Ensure data integrity, audit trails, and compliance within SAP.
- Drive automation of regulatory reporting, P&L dashboards, and collection MIS using SAP and other financial systems.
- Mentor delivery teams and manage external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
3) Automation & Process Simplification
- Drive automation of accounting, reporting, and regulatory processes, including ECL, EIR, STR/CTR, and CRILIC reporting.
- Implement business process changes (e.g., NPA policy changes, write-offs) through SAP and other platforms.
- Explore emerging technologies such as RPA, AI/ML, and advanced analytics to enhance efficiency.
4) Management Support & Insights
- Deliver actionable MIS to leadership, including collection performance dashboards, NPA tracking, resolution trends, and forecast vs. actual analysis.
- Analyze efficiency metrics such as BDR, penal income, and credit costs for informed decision-making.
5) Operational & Business Support
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements, including receivables, recoveries, and write-offs.
- Stabilize and automate commission and incentive management (ICM) with Anaplan-SAP integration.
- Support partnerships, portfolio sales, acquisitions, and financial projects, ensuring system readiness, compliance, and profitability.
- Oversee foreign currency bond issuance and related audits, ensuring compliance with SEBI and regulatory guidelines.
6) Stakeholder Network
- Internal: SAP LOB, Finance, Accounts, IT, Operations, Legal, National Managers across LOBs.
- External: SAP/Anaplan/Concur/Leasing vendors, business partners, auditors, technology providers.
Requirements
- CA / Postgraduate degree.
- 15+ years in Banking/NBFC with proven expertise in SAP implementation (compulsory), automation, and financial system integration.
- Deep expertise in SAP (S/4HANA, SD/MM, FI, FICO configuration & customization).
- Strong track record in SAP project/program management and vendor management.
- Experience in financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Understanding of Anaplan, Leasing systems, Concur, and related technologies.
- Strong analytical ability, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
