Head of Finance - Stock Brokerage Our client is a stock brokerage firm in India, leveraging technology to provide seamless and transparent investing and trading experience. We are currently looking for an experienced finance professional to join as a Vice President of Finance, to manage the firms day to day financial transactions and operations. The incumbent should be a qualified Chartered Accountant, with working experience in the Capital Market/Stockbroking, Asset Management such as Mutual Funds, AIF Category 3 and/or PMS industry, as the role requires in depth knowledge of regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements. - Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. - Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders. - Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads and senior management. - Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic planning and business decisions. - Monitor and track budget performance against actual results and provide variance analysis. - Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators. - Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. - Review and improve internal control processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion and accurate financial reporting. - Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements. - Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary. - Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and reporting standards. Critical Attributes: - Qualified CA from ICAI. - Minimum 15 years of post qualification experience. - Financial control experience in the Capital Market / Stock Brokerage / Mutual Fund industry is a non compromise. - The role will report to the CEO of the firm.
