Head - Finance - D2C Food Business - CA

About the Role:

We are looking for a Head of Finance who is entrepreneurial, commercially driven and excited by the opportunity to build a finance function from the ground up. This is a highly hands-on role where you will work closely with the founders, establish scalable finance processes, drive financial discipline and support strategic business decisions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a high-growth environment, is willing to get their hands dirty, and wants to play a key role in building a business rather than simply managing an established finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end finance function including accounting, taxation, compliance and financial reporting.

- Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and cash flow management.

- Build robust MIS and business dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

- Develop financial controls, SOPs and governance frameworks as the business scales.

- Partner with founders on commercial decisions, pricing, profitability and business planning.

- Work closely with operations, supply chain, procurement and sales teams to improve margins and working capital.

- Manage audits, statutory compliance, banking relationships and treasury.

- Support fundraising, investor reporting and financial due diligence when required.

- Build, mentor and scale the finance team over time.

Ideal Candidate:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

- 8-12 years of post-qualification experience.

- Experience in a D2C food, FMCG or consumer products company is essential.

- Strong exposure to business finance, FP&A, accounting, taxation and commercial finance.

- Experience working in a high-growth or founder-led organisation will be highly preferred.

- Strong analytical ability with excellent business partnering skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
