Head - Finance - CA/CMA

Experience: 4 to 10 years

Qualification: CA / CMA

Notice Period: Immediate or within 20 days

Location Preference: Strictly Chennai and Tamil Nadu candidates only preferred.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Value:

1. Protect and maximize enterprise value through:

- Smart decisions in pricing, resourcing, investment, funding and dividend decisions

- Smart assessment and management of risks faced by enterprise

- Smart planning that ensure investment/expenses are justified by revenue streams; and targets are realistic and achievable

- Smart traction of progress by continuous feedback to managers on progress against plan and timely demand of mid-course corrections to targets and resources

- Smart protection of enterprise assets, especially software assets by ensuring source codes are secure and IP rights are in place

- Smart control over enterprise obligations through centralized issue of contracts and purchase orders

- Strong finance investment evaluation pricing and customer contracts

- Strong in decision support management accounting

- Good in financial accounting

Business controls:

2. Set in place and ensure effectiveness of business controls relating to:

- Setting up targets for each function

- Setting up spend budgets for each function

- Ensuring targets and spend budgets are aligned continually

- Ensuring a fit for purpose delegation of authority is in place

Ensuring budgets are spent with care by:

- Ensuring need for spend is real and aligned with business objectives

- Ensuring vendor decision and supply price decision are of high quality

- Ensuring ownership and accountability for resources spent is with business managers

3. Set in place and ensure effectiveness of financial controls to protect against loss of revenue, wastage of spend, loss of assets, related party transactions, transactions of a personal nature and fraud.

4. Ensure supplier bills and other obligations are paid without delay to protect ability of enterprise to procure at competitive prices in future.

Finance

5. Ensure long term cash requirements are well funded; and short-term cash flow is balanced and not under stress

Accounts

6. Maintain books of accounts to provide a true and fair view of the business. Ensure financial statements are prepared to US GAAP quality every quarter and presented to Board.

Compliance

7. Ensure compliance with corporate law, direct and indirect tax laws, and other laws that apply to the enterprise
