Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Head to lead the Finance & Accounts function for the Automotive Aftermarket business. The incumbent will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, business performance analysis, MIS, working capital management, accounting controls, statutory compliance and providing strategic financial inputs to the business leadership. The role requires a commercially oriented finance professional who can partner with the business, identify risks and profitability opportunities, strengthen financial processes and drive financial discipline across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Business Finance:

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.

- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide detailed variance analysis.

- Prepare financial projections and business performance reports for senior management.

- Identify cost optimization and profitability improvement opportunities.

- Provide financial inputs for business decisions, pricing and commercial strategies.

2. MIS & Management Reporting:

- Develop and present monthly/periodic MIS and financial dashboards.

- Prepare executive analysis highlighting business issues, financial risks and profit opportunities.

- Track key financial and operational KPIs.

- Provide actionable insights to the Business Head and senior management.

3. Accounting & Financial Controls:

- Oversee accounting and financial reporting activities.

- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely closure of books of accounts.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.

- Implement robust financial and operational systems and processes.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor cash flows and optimize utilization of funds.

- Drive receivables management and timely recovery of outstanding debts.

- Monitor inventory and working capital levels.

- Prepare and review cash-flow statements.

- Work closely with commercial and sales teams to improve working capital efficiency.

5. Commercial & Business Finance:

- Evaluate business profitability and cost structures.

- Review pricing, overheads and commercial proposals from a financial perspective.

- Support dealer/customer schemes and commercial initiatives.

- Analyse the financial impact of sales promotions, discounts and business programs.

- Provide recommendations for price revisions based on cost and overhead trends.

6. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure timely statutory compliance and financial reporting.

- Coordinate with statutory/internal auditors and external authorities.

- Monitor tax-related compliance, assessments and documentation.

- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and financial documentation.

7. Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

- Establish clear responsibilities, financial controls and performance standards.

- Build a culture of financial prudence, accountability and process discipline.

- Coordinate effectively with Sales, Commercial, Operations, HR and senior management.

8. Process Improvement & Systems:

- Identify opportunities to improve finance and accounting processes.

- Drive automation and effective utilization of ERP/SAP systems.

- Strengthen financial controls through standardized processes.

- Improve efficiency, accuracy and turnaround time of finance operations.

Candidate Profile:

- Qualification: CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent.

- Experience: 1525 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.

- Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, MIS and business finance.

- Experience in managing Finance & Accounts teams.

- Strong exposure to working capital, cash flow and receivables management.

- Good understanding of accounting, statutory compliance and financial controls.

- Experience with SAP/ERP systems.

- Strong analytical and commercial orientation.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Experience in Automotive / Auto Components / Aftermarket / Distribution-led businesses will be preferred.
