Location: Pune

Investor and Stakeholder Relations:

- Represent the company to prospective and existing investors.

- Communicate the company's financial performance, strategies, and goals effectively.

- Coordinate with stakeholders such as shareholders, board members, and regulatory bodies.

Regulatory Compliance and Coordination:

- Responsible for compliance with domestic and international taxation regulations, SEBI and NSE compliances, labour laws, transfer pricing and other relevant statutes.

- Coordinate with industry associations and trade unions as necessary.

Financial Management:

- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and financial reporting.

- Establish and maintain robust accounting processes and ensure adherence to them.

- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.

- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Drive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives across the organization to maximize profitability and return on investment.

- Provide strategic guidance and financial insights to the CEO and board of directors to support decision-making and drive business performance.

Audit Management:

- Plan and execute internal audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

- Coordinate with external audit firms for quarterly audits and regulatory compliance.

Financial Relationship Management:

- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other funding sources.

- Negotiate favorable terms for financing arrangements and explore avenues to reduce financial costs.

- Optimize working capital management to minimize interest outflow and improve liquidity.

- Lead the preparation of financial models, business plans, and investment proposals to support fundraising efforts and strategic initiatives.

Risk Management and Cash Flow Management:

- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

- Monitor and manage credit risk associated with clients and vendors.

- Establish and maintain a debtors/credit policy to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure.

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and minimize days receivable.

Team Building:

- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounts and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Knowledge of Industry:

- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the VFX and Entertainment sectors.

- Utilize this knowledge to inform financial strategies, business decisions, and risk management practices.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership position (Head / Co-Head of Finance), preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.

- Proven track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and driving business results.

- Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply them in a dynamic business environment.

- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound recommendations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.

- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams to achieve ambitious goals.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and ERP systems.

- Experience in the VFX or entertainment industry is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
