About the Role

BEENEXT is setting up its new GIFT City-based fund structure, and we're looking for a hands-on,strategic finance leader to anchor the finance and audit backbone. If you've run fund operations at a VC, worked closely with startups, and enjoy solving for scale and structure, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Setup & Management

- Assist in GIFT City fund incorporation, onboarding of service providers, and regulatory registrations.Work with legal, tax, and fund admin teams to set up AIF structures (Category I/II).

Audit and accounting compliance

- Manage fund level audits, filings, FATCA/CRS/KYC/AML compliance, and LP reporting standards.

Fund Operations & Reporting

- Oversee capital calls, NAVs, distributions, and expense tracking. Maintain books for both the fund and fund manager entities. Build and automate reporting tools for LPs and internal tracking.

Portfolio Company Support

- Help portfolio companies with financial hygiene, audits, reporting cadence, and MIS. Act as afinancial sounding board to early-stage founders.

Strategic Planning

- Forecast fund expenses, model cash flows, and support GP/LP economics. Support future fundraising and investor communications.

Requirements

- 8-12 years of experience, preferably with:

- A VC or PE fund (fund finance or CFO's office)

- A fund administrator or Big 4 handling VC clients

- Deep knowledge of AIF compliance, GIFT City regulations, and Indian/international fund structuring

- Exposure to multiple startups or portfolio companies with understanding of startup financial operations

- Strong hands-on skills in audits, MIS, financial reporting, and tools like Excel, Investran, or eFront

- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
