Head - Finance

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Finance / VP - Finance with deep expertise in the manufacturing sector, preferably from auto component majors. This is a leadership role responsible for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, cost controls, compliance, and supporting business growth in a highly competitive and process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

- Develop and drive long-term financial strategy aligned with business goals.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.

- Provide strategic insights and financial leadership to the executive team.

Cost Management & Profitability

- Oversee plant-level financial controls, standard costing, and margin analysis.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives across materials, labor, overheads, and logistics.

- Implement systems for real-time cost monitoring and variance analysis.

Controllership & Compliance

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Indian GAAP / IFRS.

- Oversee statutory compliance including tax (GST, TDS, income tax), audit, and secretarial matters.

- Interface with auditors, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders.

Working Capital & Treasury

- Manage working capital cycles effectively inventory, receivables, payables.

- Oversee banking relationships, credit lines, and cash flow planning.

- Mitigate financial risks through hedging, insurance, and prudent treasury operations.

ERP, Controls & Systems

- Lead finance digitization efforts using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

- Ensure strong internal controls, SOPs, and process adherence across plants and corporate.

- Implement automation tools to enhance reporting, analytics, and decision-making.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Partner with operations, procurement, production, and sales teams to enable data-driven decisions.

- Contribute to capex planning, plant expansions, and new product development projects.

- Support investor relations and board-level reporting.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong exposure to auto component manufacturing, tier-1 OEM suppliers, or related industries.

- In-depth knowledge of plant finance, costing systems, and operational finance.

- Proven track record in cost control, working capital management, and compliance.

- Strong command over ERP systems, MIS reporting, and financial dashboards.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working with global clients, JVs, or export-driven manufacturing setups.

- Prior involvement in capex-heavy projects, plant commissioning, or M&A is a plus.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TQM practices is advantageous.
