Role : Head - Facility Management & Automation Infrastructure

A leading ecommerce startup is looking for a senior leader to oversee Facility Management and Automation Infrastructure across a large, multi-site operational network in India.

This role is particularly suited for professionals who have managed automated warehouse, sortation, or material handling infrastructure at scale and can combine operational excellence with strong facility governance.

Please Note : Preference will be given to Electrical Engineers with experience in automated sortation systems, material handling equipment, and large-scale operational infrastructure.

Key Focus Areas :

Mechanical Sortation Technology (MST) & Automation Operations :

- Lead the uptime, maintenance, and performance of automated sortation and material handling systems across warehouses and distribution facilities.

- Manage conveyors, sorters, scanners, induction stations, and related automation infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.

- Drive preventive maintenance programs, OEM/vendor governance, and downtime reduction initiatives.

- Monitor throughput, utilization, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency metrics.

- Partner with Operations and Technology teams on automation upgrades, capacity expansion, and new site launches.

Facility & Administration :

- Oversee facility operations, workplace services, vendor management, and infrastructure maintenance across multiple locations.

- Drive compliance, safety, hygiene, and service excellence standards.

- Own budgets, cost optimization, audits, and stakeholder management.

Ideal Candidate :

- 15+ years of experience in Facility Management, Warehouse Automation, Supply Chain Infrastructure, or Industrial Operations.

- Electrical Engineers preferred, with experience in automation and sortation systems.

- Strong hands-on experience managing automated sortation systems, conveyors, warehouse automation, or material handling equipment at scale.

- Proven track record in multi-site operations, vendor management, and infrastructure leadership.

- Preferred background in logistics, e-commerce, warehousing, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational environments.
