Our client is a leading food (FMCG) multinational looking for a game-changer to step in as Head- Exports- Developed Markets and lead the next wave of global expansion for them based in Delhi NCR.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Leadership:

- Lead and scale the sales function across multiple geographies outside the Middle East.

- Develop and execute sales strategies for GT, MT, and online channels.

- Manage full P&L ownership for assigned international regions.

Distribution Expansion & Management:

- Build and expand distributor networks, appoint and manage high-performing partners.

- Establish direct distribution operations in key markets such as Australia and the USA.

- Drive performance reviews, engagement models, and compliance with sales agreements.

Market Growth & Channel Development:

- Drive top-line growth while improving profitability across international channels.

- Lead market entry strategies, NPD launches, and category expansion.

- Monitor competition and implement counter-strategies to protect market share.

Team Leadership & Execution:

- Manage regional/country sales managers and build high-performing teams.

- Implement sales systems, processes, and technology to support business scalability.

- Drive data-driven decisions through performance analytics and sales forecasting.

Commercial & Trade Marketing:

- Optimize trade marketing spends and ensure ROI-focused campaigns.

- Lead pricing, promotional, and distributor margin strategies.

- Liaise with internal teams (finance, supply chain, legal) for seamless execution

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 15-20 years of international sales experience in FMCG, with exposure to both developed and emerging markets.

- Demonstrated success in distributor management, new market entry, and driving sales through multi-channel strategies.

- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capabilities, and hands-on execution mindset.

- Experience working in a flat, lean organizational structure and navigating ambiguity.

- Past exposure to start-up environments or setting up functions from scratch is a strong advantage.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
