The Head of Expansion focuses on three core pillars:

(1) Opening new stores

(2) Managing real estate and store operations

(3) Building and managing franchise relationships

Core Responsibilities

New Store Openings:-

- Identify and evaluate new locations across target markets.

- Drive the full opening cycle: approvals, leases, fit-out, staffing, and store launch.

- Ensure every store opens quickly, within the planned budget and payback period.

Real Estate & Store Operations:-

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of viable retail spaces.

- Negotiate commercial terms and maintain rent within healthy business limits.

- Oversee store performance, P&L, operations hygiene, and wastage control.

- Handle renewals, relocations, and underperforming stores.

Franchise Relationships:-

- Source, evaluate, and close franchise partners.

- Manage onboarding, training, and compliance.

- Build strong relationships to grow partners into multi-store operators.

Ideal Background:-

- 8 to 15 years Retail expansion or store rollout experience from brands like Zudio, DMart, Reliance Retail, or similar.

- Strong experience in franchise development or multi-store retail operations.

- Comfort with Tier 2/3 markets and heavy on-ground travel.

- Good understanding of real estate evaluation and store economics.

- Pedigree and structured training (MBA or strong retail pedigree) is helpful but not mandatory.
